Sotogrande sits on the Andalusian coast where the Mediterranean meets the Atlantic, with the Rock of Gibraltar on the horizon. Winter storms throw driftwood onto the beaches, the river Guadiaro glows in autumn and, on the best mornings, the sun breaks through the clouds just as the waves hit the rocks. These photographs were made close to home, often before most people are awake.
